Air Fryer Aloo Gobi is a healthy and delicious variation of the classic Aloo Gobi dish. This dish is made using an air fryer, which reduces the amount of oil used in cooking, making it a healthier option compared to traditional methods. The dish is made by cooking potatoes and cauliflower in an air fryer until they are crispy and tender. The result is a delicious and healthy side dish that is perfect for any meal.
Assemble all ingredients together to avoid last minute rush.
Wash, peel and chop all potatoes into 1inch pieces.
After drying (follow above mentioned method for rinsing and drying cauliflower for the recipe), cut small florets. Use stalk for other recipes. Do not discard them.
Wash and cut onion into thick slices. Finely chop coriander leaves and ginger.
Cooking
Add chopped potatoes and cauliflower florets in a big Mixing Bowl.
Now, add sliced onions and finely chopped ginger to the Mixing Bowl.
Add oil and all the spices except garam masala into it and using your hands, mix everything very well together until all the vegetables are well coated with the spices.
Pre-heat Air Fryer at 180 degrees for 2 minutes and place coated veggies in the Air Fryer basket.
Just spray very little oil on top of the veggies and set the timer to 15 minutes at 180°C.
After 7 minutes, pull out the Air Fryer basket and with the help of a Spatula, gently toss the veggies. You can spray a little oil here if you wish.
Close the basket and continue to air fry for remaining 8 minutes until potatoes and cauliflower are cooked properly.
Now, pull out the basket and sprinkle Garam masala over it. Mix well.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and your Air Fryer Aloo Gobi is ready to serve!
Time for Cooking: The time taken to air fry Aloo Gobi is depending on the brand of Air Fryer. You may need to add a few minutes or decrease a few depending on the Air Fryer. Keep a close watch after 10-12 minutes.
Extra step to spice up the curry: Add 1/2 tbsp oil, 2 finely chopped garlic, 1 green chili and 2 tbsp tomato paste or tomato puree in the Pan. Saute them for a minute and add air fried Aloo Gobhi in it. Toss gently and serve.
Salt and Spices: Adjust salt and spices as per your taste preferences. Use Kashmiri red chilli or degi powder for less spicy curry and cayenne powder for spicy curry.
Oil: Use any neutral tasting oil for this recipe. I used olive oil here.
