An omelette is a type of dish made from beaten eggs, cooked in a frying pan until set. It can be a simple, classic dish with just salt, pepper, and a little butter, or it can be loaded with cheese, meats, vegetables, and spices to create a more flavorful and filling meal. The beauty of omelettes is that they are quick and easy to make, and can be customized to suit your tastes and preferences. They can be served for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and are a great way to use up leftover ingredients in your fridge.
Assemble all ingredients together to avoid last minute rush.
Take cherry tomatoes and cut them into half. You can take normal tomato also and cut it into 4 or 5 pieces.
Grate cheese. We need only 2 tbsp.
Chop basil also, we need only 2 tbsp. You can also take coriander, parsley or any other herb of your choice.
Cooking
Use two or three eggs per omelette, depending on how hungry you are. Beat the eggs lightly with a Whisk and add salt and black pepper.
Use an 8-inch Frying Pan for a 2-egg omelette, a 9-inch Pan for 3 eggs. Melt the butter over medium-low heat, and keep the temperature low and slow when cooking the eggs so the bottom doesn’t get too brown or overcooked.
Let the eggs sit for a minute, then use a Spatula to gently lift the cooked eggs from the edges of the pan. Tilt the pan to allow the uncooked eggs to flow to the edge of the pan.
Add the filling, but don’t overstuff the omelette.
Cook for a few more seconds.
Fold the omelette in half. Slide it onto a plate with the help of a Spatula.
Frying Pan: It is recommended to use an 8-inch Frying Pan for a 2-egg omelette; and 9-inch for 3 eggs.
