A chicken burger is a sandwich consisting of a chicken patty and various toppings, served on a bun. It can be grilled, fried, or baked, and is a popular fast food item around the world. The classic chicken burger is usually made with a seasoned chicken patty, topped with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise.
Assemble all ingredients to avoid last minute rush.
Wash and finely chop green chillies, onion, garlic, ginger, capsicum and coriander stems for Chicken Patty.
Mince nicely chicken breasts in an Electric Choppper.
Slice onion, tomato, yellow bell pepper, red bell pepper and cucumber for assembling burger.
Cooking
For Marinating Chicken
In a Mixing Bowl, add chopped veggies for Chicken Patty, minced chicken and mix gently.
Now, add salt, red chilli powder, dried oregano, black pepper powder, mayonnaise and 2 tbsp oil in the same Mixing Bowl and mix everything well.
Keep it in refrigerator for 30 minutes (for marination).
For Stuffing
In a Bowl, mix cheese, green chillies, bread crumbs and mix everything properly.
Keep aside for further use.
For Chicken Burger Patty
Now apply some water on your hands and take a portion of the marinated mixture and spread it a little in your hand, then add a generous amount of stuffing in the center.
Close it up and give it a patty shape.
Then gently roll Patty in the bread crumbs, keep aside and repeat for the rest of the mixture.
Heat oil in a Frying Pan on medium heat. Now, place the Patties in the hot oil and shallow fry them until golden brown and crisp from both sides.
Remove on kitchen towel and keep aside.
For Toasting Burger Bun
In a pan heat butter over medium flame.
Now, toast both half of the burger buns until golden brown and crisp.
For Assembling the Chicken Burger
Apply mustard sauce to the toasted buns and place lettuce leaves on the bottom part of the bun.
Now, place the chicken patty on it and add sliced onions, tomato and cucumber.
Then, add some mayonnaise, cheese slice and place the top of the bun and secure it with a wooden skewer.
Salt & Spices: Feel free to adjust as per your taste buds.
Oil: Use any neutral tasting oil. I have used olive oil here.
Choice of sauce: You could use tomato sauce in place of mustard sauce.
