Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 garlic
  • 1 Onions chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • ¼ cup tomato puree
  • ¼ tsp coriander powder
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 ½ cups french beans chopped
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala optional
  • 400 paneer / cottage cheese

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Assemble all ingredients together to avoid last minute rush.
  • Chop French beans and paneer into small pieces.
  • Finely chop onion and garlic cloves.
  • You can also use grated ginger in the recipe.
  • If tomato puree is not available, boil 1-2 tomatoes, peel off the skin and blend to the fine paste.

Cooking

  • Heat 2 tbsp oil in a Pan or Kadai over medium flame and add 2 chopped garlic cloves. Saute for few minutes till raw aroma goes away.
  • Now, add 1 chopped onion in the Pan and fry the onions till translucent.

  • Then, add 1 tsp minced or grated garlic and ¼ cup tomato puree in the Pan. Mix with onions.
  • Add ¼ tsp coriander powder, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp salt and ½ tsp red chili powder. Saute till oil starts to separate from the masala.

  • After that, add 1.5 cups chopped french beans. Pick any – fresh or frozen! Just keep in mind, fresh would take longer to cook. Mix with masala.
  • Add 1 tsp kitchen king masala (optional).
  • Cover with the lid and cook until beans are done. Frozen beans may take 5-6 minutes and fresh beans may take 10-12 minutes. Stir occasionally.

  • Now, add 400 gms paneer cubes. Mix with the beans and cook for another 5 minutes.

  • Garnish with fresh coriander or cilantro.
  • Serve with roti or paratha.
