Ingredients
  

  • 250 grams bajra flour
  • Salt
  • water
  • 1 tbsp ghee / clarified butter optional

Preparation

  • Assemble all ingredients together to avoid last minute rush.
  • Add both flours, salt in a Mixing Bowl. Mix salt with the flour.
  • Add lukewarm water little by little and knead to a soft pliable dough.

  • Rest dough for about 20 minutes. Then slightly knead again to make the dough smooth .
  • Pinch equal size balls from the dough.

Cooking

  • Dust some flour on the rolling board and roll into 6 inch diameter thick round roti with the help of a rolling pin. Alternatively, can be rolled with the palms also.

  • Heat a tawa over low to medium flame and place bajra roti on it.
  • Cook on low flame for few seconds then flip on the other side and cook until little brown.
