Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 garlic
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 2 green chillies
  • ½ spring onion
  • 1 Onions
  • 1 Chicken Breast / boneless chicken
  • ½ Carrot
  • 4 beans
  • ¼ cabbage
  • 5 mushroom
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 ½ tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 3 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • noodles
  • ½ coriander leaves / cilantro

Instructions
 

Preparations

  • Assemble all ingredients together to avoid last minute rush.
  • Wash all vegetables in running water.
  • Finely chop all vegetables.
  • You can use red or white onions, if you don’t have spring onions.
  • Wash &chop chicken breast piece also

Cooking

  • To start making this Chicken Manchow Soup, heat oil and add ginger, garlic, white part of spring onions and onions. Saute for 2-3 minutes and add the chicken breast.
  • Chicken breast will cook fairly quickly. Saute it for a minute or so on high heat and add carrots, green beans, mushroom and cabbage along with salt and 3 cups water. Bring this to a quick boil and then reduce the flame to a simmer.
  • In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, vinegar, pepper, corn flour and ½ cup water till no lumps are visible. Add this to the pot and keep stirring till the soup thickens up. Add green chillies and simmer for 2 minutes. Mix in the green part of spring onions and chopped coriander. Turn off the flame.
  • Top individual servings with fried noodles and serve hot.

Vegetables: Always use fresh vegetables for making soups as they give your recipe extra freshness and nutrients.
Can use pre-made stock? Yes, you can use pre-made stock but I recommend don't use any pre - made stock. Let the vegetables simmer in the boiling water with spices. Soup will become tastier. Try once to see the difference!
Spiciness: You can increase or decrease the spiciness of your soup recipe by adding more red chilli powder or black pepper powder.
Cornflour: Cornflour thickens the soup, but you can skip it totally if you don’t want to add cornflour.
Serving: Always serve soup hot. You can serve Soup with Garlic Bread or any other Herb bread
