Ingredients
  

  • 500 Chicken Breast / boneless chicken
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 2 green chillies
  • ¼ tsp coriander powder
  • ¼ tsp cumin powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper powder
  • ¼ tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tbsp salt
  • ¼ tsp Garam Masala
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup yogurt / dahi / curd
  • ½ cup tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions
 

Preparations:

  • Assemble all ingredients together to avoid last minute rush.

Cooking

  • To prepare the masala paste, simply blend together garlic, ginger, green chillies, coriander powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, garam masala powder, lemon juice, yogurt and tomato puree.
  • Make sure you add enough yogurt to make a thick consistency. If using canned tomatoes, use less than half a can. Keep in mind, however, that the amount of spices varies depending on your taste buds.
  • Transfer the masala paste into a Mixing Bowl and add oil and chicken pieces. Mix everything well together so that chicken pieces are coated properly with masala paste.
  • Now, let them marinate over night or at least for 4- 5 hours in a refrigerator.
  • Next, you can take skewers and place 2 to3 chicken pieces into it and cook the chicken pieces in an electric oven.
  • Or you can cook the chicken pieces in a Kadai or Frying Pan on gas flame.
  • Cook until charred on both sides.
  • Remove the chicken pieces from heat or oven, let them rest for 5 minutes, and slice them thinly.
  • Serve hot with green chutney and onions.
