Ingredients
  

  • 6 Chicken Breast / boneless chicken
  • 2 to Tomato
  • 2 onions
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup almond / badam
  • 3/4 cup greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 3 tbsp butter, salted
  • 1/4 cup cream

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Assemble all ingredients together to avoid last minute rush.
  • Wash and finely chop ginger, garlic, onions, tomatoes.
  • Wash and cut chicken breasts into small chunks and put them in a Mixing Bowl.
  • Grind smoothly ginger, garlic and almonds. Add in the Mixing Bowl.
  • Now, add salt, oil, garam masala, red chilli powder and turmeric powder.
  • Also, add yogurt and mix everything very well. Cover and keep in refrigerator for marinade upto 2 hours.

Cooking

  • Add oil and butter to a Kadai or Cast Iron Skillet on medium high heat.
  • Add chopped onions and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until onions get caramelized.
  • Now, add chopped tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes or until tomatoes turn soft and mushy. Then, add in the marinated chicken and cook for 12-15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked completely.

  • Add the heavy cream to the Skillet or Kadai and mix well, cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Your yummy Chicken Korma is ready to serve with Rice or Breads.

Notes & Tips

  • Chicken: You can choose chicken thighs or chicken legs as well in place of chicken breasts for this recipe.
  • Oil: You can choose any neutral tasting oil.
  • Spices: You can always adjust spices and salt as per your taste buds.
  • Ginger & Garlic: If you don't have fresh ginger and garlic, can opt for readymade ginger garlic paste.
  • Tomatoes: In place of fresh tomatoes, can also use readymade tomato puree. However, I recommend to use fresh tomatoes for better taste.
  • Garam Masala: Choose homemade or readymade whatever is available. Homemade masala is stronger than readymade so, use accordingly.
